tmux keybinding reference

Sourced directly from this platform's own /etc/tmux.conf, not the stock tmux defaults. The prefix is Ctrl-a everywhere below unless a row says otherwise.

KeyAction
Ctrl-aPrefix key (replaces the default Ctrl-b).
prefix |Split the window vertically, new pane opens in the current pane's directory.
prefix -Split the window horizontally, same current-directory behavior.
prefix h / j / k / lMove to the pane left / below / above / right (vi-style).
Alt+← / → / ↑ / ↓Move between panes with no prefix at all.
prefix H / J / K / LResize the current pane 5 cells at a time (repeatable, hold to keep resizing).
Alt+1 ... Alt+9, Alt+0Jump straight to window 1-9, or 10, no prefix.
Alt+fJump to the last-used window, no prefix.
Alt+n / Alt+pNext / previous window, no prefix.
prefix [Enter copy mode (vi keys inside).
v (in copy mode)Begin a selection.
y (in copy mode)Copy the selection and exit copy mode, straight to the system clipboard via tmux-yank and OSC 52.
r (in copy mode)Toggle rectangle (block) selection.
prefix rRespawn a fresh shell in the current pane after a crash (see the always-on section for why this matters).
prefix RReload /etc/tmux.conf without restarting the server.
prefix ZPop the current pane fullscreen in a popup (power-zoom).
prefix fOpen rzf, a fast terminal file explorer, in a popup rooted at the current pane's directory. Deliberately not a bare Ctrl-f, which would collide with readline and vim's own bindings.
MouseClick to select a pane, drag to resize, scroll wheel to scroll, drag to select text for copy.

Always current, straight from the running config: tmux list-keys.
